If your company is actively seeking funding, you've probably come across quite a few websites urging you to "post your business plan here" or "upload your video elevator pitch" etc., all for a few hundred dollars or thereabouts. Beware, such sites are telling less than half of the story.

If your company is seeking funding and you are desirous of securing the funding in a reasonable time frame (60 - 90 days), the most important thing you need to have is not a business plan or a video elevator pitch - you need to have first and foremost, a viable business with a large accessible market. The (funding) Misconception
- Beware of the glitzy web sales pitch; there's much more to
     faster venture funding than most would have you believe.
No soldier in his right mind would venture out onto the battlefield without FULL kit. He would not simply carry his high-powered rifle, the "standard" equipment, he would be sure to also carry  a revolver, knife, mobile data/voice communication system, ballistic vest, grenades, etc. In short, he'd be FULLY EQUIPPED for a task such as he is undertaking. PREPARATION

Any vendor that tells you "bring your business plan, record a video pitch and post them on our site and the investors will come", is SELLING YOU UP THE CREEK WITHOUT A PADDLE, just to make a quick buck. They charge low and go for volume, because they know they're not really delivering any true and meaning ful value. Sure, one or two companies may actually get lucky and conect with an eventual investor, but rest assured, 99.9% of the entrepreneurs who fall for their sales pitch will NOT get the funding they seek that way. Perhaps the most damaging thing about such unscrupulous vendors, is that they continue to willfully perpetuate "the misconception", that an entrepreneur can go from an idea to accredited investor funding in a heartbeat with a second-rate business plan and a cheap video pitch, all costing less than $500 all told.

If you go in for a driving license test after one driving lesson, do you really expect to pass? Of course not. You're not properly prepared.
